Today, Google officially updated its Play Store support page, to notify consumers that it will soon be launching its Google Play gift cards in Japan with ¥1500 ($15), ¥3,000 ($29), ¥5,000 ($49), ¥10,000 ($97), ¥15,000 ($146) and astonishingly ¥20,000 ($195) denominations.

Brightest-Flashlight-Android

A seemingly harmless flashlight application built for Android has tricked tens of millions of users into handing over personal data, the Federal Trade Commission has revealed. Developed by GoldenShores Technologies, the Brightest Flashlight app took device ID and location data without informing users, then passed it on to advertisers.

HP Chromebook 11 owners are still being advised not to use their standard factory chargers following a recall notice which was implemented because many owners found that their chargers were overheating after just a couple of charge cycles. However, it looks like they may be able to get their hands on a new charger in the next few weeks. Google has put up a listing for a new Chromebook 11 charger on its website.

Google-Play-Music-All-Access

A new Google Play Music update is rolling out now, and it brings with it a number of small but significant new features — one of which is the ability to specify where your downloaded music is stored.

The APK also includes code that hints at SD card support for All Access (Google’s music streaming service), Sound Search integration, and URL sharing.

Google is in the process of rolling out a much-needed update for its official Play Movies and TV app on the Play Store. This upgrade allows users to get their content offline faster, movies and shows may now be downloaded in HD or SD, there’s also improved video streaming performance for KitKat devices and a shedload of bug fixes and stability improvements.
