Sony hopes to take the hassle out of swapping your iPhone for one of its Xperia smartphones with its new Xperia Transfer Mobile app. The free tool helps you transfer apps, music, movies, photos, contacts, and more from your iOS device — or your old Android — to your new Xperia without the need for a computer.

The beta version of the popular note-taking application, Evernote, has received quite a beefy update on the Google Play Store. This upgrade brings some great new features, one of which being the ability to store and share handwritten notes that you’ve created on either your Android-powered smartphone or tablet.

Flappy-Bird

Flappy Bird, the simple yet rage-inducing game from .GEARS Studios, is now available to download on Android. Like its counterpart on iOS, it’s completely free and insanely addictive, and it makes you want to throw your phone out of a window. But you’ll almost certainly want to play it anyway.

evomail-android-push

A major update is rolling out to Evomail today to add push notification actions and give users greater control over the notifications they receive. The release finally allows users to snooze, archive, and delete incoming messages without having to actually open up the app.

Android-Device-Manager

Google updated Android Device Manager this week to finally introduce a password lock. Once activated, you’ll need to enter your Google password to gain access to the app — but it’s an inconvenience that’s well worth living with.
