Earlier Google announced Android TV, a revolutionary new piece of software which essentially combines some of the best aspects of ChromeCast together with a new user interface, in order to bring both Google’s Play Store and Search to your television. Now, Razer has just officially revealed that it will be the first company to take advantage of the brand new operating system in its green-glowing, puck-like, micro-console that’s primarily aimed towards gaming.

Meet Instagram 6.0.

Instagram’s pretty hefty upgrade for its official Android application started rolling out today. The update transports a plethora of new ‘creative tools,’ together with the usual multitude of additional bug fixes and speed optimizations.

 

Google-Play-Store

As I’m sure most of you would agree, cloud-based applications and services play a huge role in the Android ecosystem. They are the foundations of the entire OS and can do some pretty amazing things, such as turning your device into a fully-functioning Sat Nav, creating a virtual aquarium for your dining room table/desk and lots, lots more.

However, you may not be aware that these applications don’t actually have to be downloaded onto your Android-powered smartphone or tablet through the built-in app store. They can, instead, be installed remotely on your handset via the official Play Store website.

Today’s app of the week, Nova Launcher, made its debut appearance on the Google Play Store last year and has been recognized as one of the most elegant, user-friendly, secure and feature-packed third-party launchers ever since. So, consequently, we’ve decided to bring it its very own review here at Cult of Android.

Google Search has taken delivery of a pretty nifty server-side update in the Play Store that gives users the ability to view their upcoming car rental information without having to touch their smartphone or tablet.
