Itching to get the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update on your Samsung Galaxy S III? Well today could be your lucky day. A pre-release version of the software has been leaked online, allowing Galaxy S III owners to get the latest Jelly Bean features in advance of Samsung’s official release.

Thankfully, Sony has now confirmed that the Xperia Z will get the Android 4.2 update “shortly after launch.”

The update is currently reaching handsets in South Korea on the SK Telecom network, but those in the United States shouldn’t have to wait too long for it. As you’d expect, this release brings a number of new features that will significantly improve the performance and user experience of your handset.

The latest Flipboard update introduces support for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean’s new Daydream feature, allowing users to view their news headlines while their device is charging. The Flipboard app becomes your screensaver, updating automatically over Wi-Fi to display the latest news stories.
