Do you own a device equipped with a Qualcomm processor? If so, how do you fancy squeezing just a little bit more battery life from it? Qualcomm has released a new application to help you fully utilize every last drop of power from your battery.

It’s only been 9 days since the last Transformer Prime update and ASUS is at it again. We’re not sure the specifics of this latest update but it appears to improve battery life. Most of their updates have been attempts to improve the Prime’s ongoing WiFi signal issues, but that doesn’t appear to be the case with this last update.

As mobile devices gain advances in almost every aspect of hardware and software, the one thing that doesn’t get any better is battery life. It’s expected that all these larger screens, graphic intensive games, etc. would demand more of our batteries, but why we have yet to see battery advances or larger batteries included in these devices is beyond me. Perhaps it’s due to manufacturers trying to maintain a slim appearance, but it’s time to start spending a bit more worrying about battery life versus a couple millimeters in thickness.
