Early Galaxy S5 adopters may want to look away now.
Just weeks after Samsung’s latest flagship went on sale around the world, new reports have claimed the South Korean company is already gearing up for the imminent release of a “Galaxy S5 Prime” with an aluminum form factor and a super sharp 2K display.
HTC’s latest promotional video for the upcoming “All New HTC One” teases the handset’s “sleeker” unibody construction, which is both taller and thinner than the original model. The first HTC One had a plastic chassis that held the front and rear aluminum panels together, but HTC appears to have eliminated that for its latest flagship.
HTC has today announced a new HTC One variant that gives Android fans with a penchant for gold a nice alternative to the iPhone 5s. The new device is identical to the original on the inside, but its aluminum panels have had a new lick of champaign-colored paint.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a terrific smartphone, and it’s already a massive success. But the company may finally be looking to change that next time around.
According to a new report from Korea, Samsung will introduce a metal chassis for the next-generation Galaxy S5, and to ensure there are no production problems, it’s going to start making it later this year.
After keeping us waiting for several month, Verizon has finally confirmed that it will be selling the HTC One online and in stores starting Thursday, August 22. The device will be priced at $199.99 with a two-year contract, which is the same price Verizon charges for the One’s biggest competitor, the Samsung Galaxy S4.
