Yesterday the latest version of Temple Run launched in Apple’s App Store, and now the new game has arrived for Android in Google Play. Temple Run: Oz is a collaboration between Disney and Imangi Studios that’s made for the coinciding release of the film Oz the Great and Powerful.

The gameplay basics are the same as the classic Temple Run you know and love, but the levels are totally new with flying baboons and hot air balloons.

You might want to clear your schedule and wave goodbye to your productivity, because Temple Run 2 just arrived on Android. In addition to much-improved visuals, this hugely popular sequel brings “gorgeous new organic environments.” It comes just a week after making its debut on iOS, where it has already risen to the top of the App Store’s free chart with more than 20 million downloads in four days.

Temple Run 2 made a somewhat surprising appearance on iOS yesterday, but as is often the case with new apps and games, there was no word on a possible Android counterpart. Fortunately for those itching to get their hands on the title, there isn’t long to wait. Developers Imangi Studios have confirmed that it will be coming to Google Play and the Amazon Appstore next week.

Temple Run has seen much success since being launched on Android and the developers have been doing a great job at keeping the app updated and fixing any bugs that arise. Today they released another update, this time not only squashing a few bugs, but also adding the much anticipated Temple Run wallpapers. It’s not so much the wallpapers we’re excited about but the fact that we can now move forward with completing the Interior Decorator objective we’ve been hung up on.


If you’re wondering what you can do to improve your score on Temple Run, it’s actually quite simple: update the app! That’s right, no longer will your Temple Run high-score be the ridicule of your iOS friends thanks to today’s update. Apparently there was a bug with scoring that was making it harder to get points and Imagini has patched that up along with a few other things worth noting:
