Struggling to live without root access on your Galaxy S6 and S6 edge? Well, now you don’t have to.

A new “PingPongRoot” exploit exploit for Samsung’s latest flagships makes rooting super simple — anyone can do it in just a few minutes. What’s more, it won’t trip your Knox counter, so you’ll still be able to take advantage of Samsung’s security features and you won’t invalidate your warranty.

Here’s what you need to do.

Rooting your Samsung Galaxy S5 (and S5 Prime) or Galaxy Note 4 couldn’t be easier, thanks to Chainfire’s wonderfully simple root method, “CF-Auto-Root.” The tool provides users with the SuperSU binary and APK for root access under their pre-installed TouchWiz ROM.

Less than 24 hours after the Android L developer preview images were released by Google, SuperSU developer Chainfire has managed to gain root access on it.

While Chainfire was previously worried that the next version of Android might effectively kill root, his findings have turned out to be wrong since the process pretty much remains the same with only a minor modification required to SuperSU.

Sony’s latest flagship — the Xperia Z2 — ships with an unlockable bootloader except if you end up buying a carrier variant, which might ship with a locked down bootloader. An unlockable bootloader means that the Xperia Z2 is an extremely easy device to root and the process is very similar to how one can gain root access on the Nexus, HTC and Motorola devices.

If you have recently purchased a brand new Xperia Z2 and are looking to root it, worry not as we have got you covered. Simply follow the steps mentioned below and you will be enjoying all the powers that root access brings on your Z2 in no time.

Nexus-5-Android-4-4-1

Earlier this week, Google released the Android 4.4.2 OTA update for all the Nexus devices it currently supports. Unlike the Android 4.4.1 update that was rolled out last week, the latest update to KitKat only fixed a few under-the-hood bugs and patched a major security loophole.

The roll-out of the Android 4.4.2 OTA update has been pretty quick from Google’s side and chances are you must have already received the OTA update notification on your device. However, if you are rooted, the OTA update will fail to install on your Nexus device.
