Rovio has issued yet another update to Angry Birds Star Wars on Android and iOS today, introducing a brand new Cloud City episode with 20 new levels. The release also adds steam gameplay mechanics, the ability to brag about your trophies on Twitter, and more.
Rovio’s latest “Escape from Hoth” update to Angry Birds Star Wars is out today, adding 20 new levels, mynock pigs, and an epic boss battle. It’s available to download now on Android and iOS, and it’s completely free to those why already own the game.
Rovio is gearing up to release its first new episode for their most recent hit, Angry Birds Star Wars. This new episode includes our favorite snowy planet Hoth, chock full of pig driven AT-AT walkers. The update is set to go live sometime tomorrow and should keep you Rebel Alliance Angry Birds lovers busy for a bit.
The wait is finally over. Your favorite game and your favorite movie have joined forces to become one in what looks like the most exciting addition to the series yet. I’m talking, of course, about Rovio’s Angry Birds Star Wars, which is now available to download on your Android and iOS devices.
We simply love wallpapers. They’re one of the first changes we make to our Android devices and often represent our moods, interests, or wicked alter egos. They’re as unique as the individuals who use them and while some people pick one and stick with it, others change them more often than a teenager’s Facebook status. Each day we’re going to feature a free wallpaper for you to download and use on your Android device. Depending on your device, you may want to use your favorite photo editing software to resize the image for a better fit. Once that’s done, apply and enjoy. Your home screen can thank us later. Cheers!
It’s been nearly three years since Rovio’s first Angry Birds game made its debut on iOS devices, and you might have thought that interest in the series may have died down a little in that time. But you’d be very wrong indeed. According to the Finnish firm, Angry Birds games still see more than 200 million active users every single month.
Well that didn’t take long. It’s only been three days since Rovio teased us with the possibility of an Angry Birds Star Wars game, and today, it’s official. Rovio has announced that they will be launching Angry Birds Star Wars worldwide on Novemeber 8th and a barrage of merchandise starting October 28th (in time to get your kids into Angry Birds Star Wars costumes).
Rovio sent out a tweet today teasing their “next big thing” (who do they think they are… Samsung?). The tweet links to a Tumblr page featuring an animated gif of a Jedi Angry bird holding a lightsaber (the one you see above). Other than the Star Wars reference, there doesn’t seem to be much information. Whatever they have planned, it looks like it will be going down in New York on October 8th, at 10am EST as the only information listed is as follows:
TeeFury, the online site which features one new super limited-edition tee every 24 hours for $10 has a geeky t-shirt you might be interested in. Today’s t-shirt — which will be gone in about 4 hours — features our favorite Android mascot being carried off by the mischievous Jawa of Star Wars. This parody of a geek classic is a satirical take on the license fees involved every time a droid phone is sold according to the designer. I’m assuming he’s referring to the licensing fees being paid to Lucasfilm Ltd. for the DROID name, but either way, it’s a cool little t-shirt that meshes some geeky goodness.
