Square Enix has decided to take Android users back to their RPG roots by releasing the original Final Fantasy (the Final Fantasy that started it all) onto the Google Play Store for us to relive the magic. I’m betting they did this to make up for today’s earlier release of Solarola. Either way, this is a little more like it.

Okay, this probably isn’t what you were hoping for from the company that brought us titles such as Final Fantasy XIV and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, but Square Enix’s next mobile release is none other than SolaRola. If you haven’t heard of it, don’t worry — most of us haven’t. This cute mobile puzzler platformer was actually launched on Java back in 2007, and believe it or not, happens to be among a handful of games to secure a perfect 10 score and Platinum Award from Pocket Gamer.

It’s taken a bit to get here, but Square Enix’s Lara Croft And The Guardian of Light has finally landed in the Play Store — too bad the majority of you won’t get to play it. Square Enix decided to jump into Sony’s pockets and make the game an Xperia exclusive. Judging by the game’s less than 50 downloads, it looks like that was a smart move /s.
