The Galaxy S6 Edge, teased by T-Mobile.

For the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, Samsung is ditching all of its tacky plastic in favor of an all-new design made entirely from premium materials — and already its efforts are paying off.

According to carrier partners that have been given a sneak peek at the next-generation devices ahead of their official debuts on March 1, the Galaxy S6 beats the iPhone 6 in terms of design.

Tizen

Galaxy-Note-3-Merlot-Red

Samsung’s newly-announced Galaxy Note 3 in Merlot Red is now on sale in South Korea, exclusively through SK Telecom. The device is compatible with SKT’s LTE Advanced network, which promises speeds around 20 times faster than those of 3G.

LG-Optimus-G-Pro

LG announced its super-sized Optimus G Pro last week, a 5.5-inch handset that’s coming to do battle with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The device will be coming to Korea this week, the company has now confirmed, before making its way to North America during Q2 2013.

In addition to its impressive 1080p display, the Optimus G Pro will also be the first smartphone to offer a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, which is the successor to the popular Snapdragon S4 Pro.
