If dual-SIM card slots are a must for you, many of the latest flagships are going to be unsuitable. But a leaked Samsung prototype suggests the South Korean company is working on a dual-SIM version of its new Galaxy S6, and it’s going to be just as good as the original.

Samsung has already issued invites for a press event ahead of IFA 2014 next month, where the South Korean company will almost certain unveil the Galaxy Note 4. But we’re expecting a number of other devices, too — one of which could be the first SIM slot-equipped Gear Solo smartwatch, sources claim.

Samsung is said to be planning another new addition to its Galaxy Gear lineup that will have its own SIM card for making calls. It will be called the “Galaxy Gear Solo,” according to sources familiar with Samsung’s plans, and it could be the first smartwatch that isn’t so reliant on a smartphone.

Google has made some revisions to the design of its LG-made Nexus 5 handset, with subtle differences between those bought shortly after its launch and those manufactured more recently. The revisions address a number of issues that users had discovered with the original design, including loose buttons a protruding SIM trays.

On Thursday, the day after the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 began shipping in Europe, we learned that the South Korean company has been region-locking its new phablet to prevent owners from using international SIM cards. We were all pretty bemused by the move, but it turns out it may not be as bad as it seems.

Providing you activate the device with the right SIM, you should have no problem using an international one when you go abroad.
