Samsung unveiled its former flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S3, back in May, 2012, and two weeks after its announcement the handset was available in the U.K. from several retailers for £479.99. However, if you haven’t had the opportunity or the wherewithal to pick one up before now, it may be of interest to you to know that the popular online retailer, Very, is currently offering the device with a £194 discount.

Last month, a leaked schedule emerged on the internet revealing that the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 will be the first Samsung devices to receive the much-anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat update. However, now it looks like the manufacturer is considering bringing the latest version of the open-source operating system to its entry-level smartphones, too.
