Wouldn’t it be annoying if you bought a smartphone with wireless charging, only to find out it didn’t have wireless charging?

That’s what some BlackBerry Priv owners are experiencing in certain markets, because it turns out that for some inexplicable reason, not all models have wireless charging capabilities.

Many of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones support wireless charging, but only if you are prepared to buy an optional wireless charging back panel. But the South Korean company has vowed to accelerate the technology’s growth in 2015 with greater support in its new Galaxy smartphones.

In a new blog post, Samsung hints at the possibility of support for multiple wireless charging technologies inside the upcoming Galaxy S6.

Motorola has been keeping the Moto 360’s charging method a secret since its first unveiling earlier this year, but new photos of the device reveal its unique wireless charging dock for the first time. Unlike the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live, the Moto 360 doesn’t appear to have any external connectors on its back, and it’s a great bedside clock while it’s charging.
