Pocket updated its apps for Android and iOS to version 6.0, which now tailors to your interests. The release brings a new Recommendations tab that scans your activity in Pocket and, armed with that knowledge, presents you with new stories and other content you might find interesting.

In terms of added functionality, this upgrade brings support for ‘Immersive Mode’, a new, refined layout equipped with revamped typography, in addition to a handful of bug fixes, speed optimizations and app translation for five new languages.

Pocket celebrated its first anniversary this week, and it’s marking the occasion with a new update on Android that adds some handy sharing features. It also makes some improvements to the Instant Sync feature, and adds an automatic fullscreen mode in article and web view.

While Instapaper was busy shunning us Android peasants, Pocket was busy building an amazing “DVR for the web,” and embracing the Android community. A 4.5 star rating and millions of downloads later, Pocket continues to improve their app, while fixing the issues us poor peasants may encounter.
