Advanced camera mode, wide angle mode, video effects, and photo sphere live wallpapers are just some of the features buried inside the code for Google’s new Camera app for Android. While currently inactive, the features should be made available in future updates.

Google has rolled out a trio of new Nexus 5 ads this week, showcasing a number of features built into its camera app — including Photo Sphere, Auto Awesome, and HDR+. All three clips are just 16 seconds long, and we’ve embedded them below for your convenience.

Android 4.4 is without doubt one of the most impressive operating system updates we have seen as of yet, bringing a completely revamped user interface and a multitude of new features. Google has recently launched its “Maps Views” webpage, which is dedicated to uploading and sharing Photo Spheres on Google Maps, and now it seems the team at Mountain View are trying to encourage more Nexus owners to use its service; by publishing a video teaching them exactly how to create perfect 360-degree street view-like panoramas.

For Nexus users who love taking Photo Spheres, Google just made submitting and uploading them on Google Maps a little bit easier.

Prior to this revamp, users could only upload the 360-degree images from their Android devices, but now they will have the option to submit and view Photo Spheres from the web as well.
