If you’re ready to play big-name triple-A PC games on a mobile tablet, gaming companies WikiPad and OnLive have you covered.

Using game-streaming technologies from OnLive’s CloudLift service, the Wikipad 7 will allow you to play full high-end PC games, both single and multiplayer from any digital download service like Steam. The service will extend to the just announced Wikipad Gamevice controller, which will give you the same controller system for Apple’s iPad mini, letting you play games you never thought you’d be able to on a smaller mobile device.


Rockstar Games’ hit title L.A. Noire is now available in a touchscreen-friendly tablet version and available for Android users via Onlive. In case you’re unfamiliar with Onlive, it’s a cloud-gaming service that offers on-demand top-tier console gaming streamed live to any supported mobile device, computer, or TV.


Popular cloud-gaming service OnLive recently decided to expand its offerings to include cloud-computing. Last month they launched their OnLive Desktop service for the iPad which allowed users to access a copy of Windows 7 that included a variety of apps such as Microsoft Office via the cloud. Yesterday, OnLive brought that same functionality to Android tablets. Android users can now download OnLive Desktop for free in the Android Market.


Google TV will be getting OnLive gaming support very soon, and in preparation of this monumental event, users can now start spectating these live games via the OnLive Viewer app. OnLive is a popular cloud gaming service that streams high-end console video games straight to your screen without the need for high-end hardware. Cloud based gaming is considered by many to be the future of gaming and will free gamers from hardware restraints and allow for a truly unified mobile gaming experience across various platforms. It’s only fitting that the OnLive service be coming to Google TV, as GTV has been working hard on bringing on-demand multimedia to your TV, and what better addition than on-demand gaming.
