Cyanogen today announced a new partnership with Microsoft that will see the software giant’s apps and services baked into future Cyanogen OS releases. The deal is thought to be similar to that Microsoft recently agreed with Samsung.

Samsung made many big changes for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge — not only to deliver brand new designs made from premium materials, but also to give adopters a better user experience. But has Samsung really scaled back its bloatware in TouchWiz?

According to the reports it has, but in reality, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge come with just as much bloatware as the Samsung devices that came before them. In fact, they have more pre-installed apps than the Galaxy Note 4.

Microsoft Office is coming to Android tablets, and you can be part of a select group of users who will get the opportunity to test it ahead of its Play Store debut. Microsoft is now accepting registrations from those who would like access to its beta, which brings the mobile versions of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to bigger screens.

In addition, the software giant has announced that all Office mobile apps are now free to use.

For the past two years Microsoft has been developing a fully-functioning copy of its desktop Office suite for Android tablets and guess what… It’s almost ready! Microsoft’s efforts to make Cortana as pervasive as possible could see the intelligent digital assistant brought to Android and iOS. A member of the software giant’s Windows Phone team has confirmed that Microsoft is “actively talking” about bringing Cortana to rival platforms.
