If Firefox is your browser of choice on Android, then you’ll be pleased to know it’s getting Chromecast support. The ability to stream to Google’s $35 dongle is already integrated into the latest Firefox beta — which is available now — signaling its upcoming debut in the public release.

CyanogenMod-Heads-Up

The team behind CyanogenMod has rolled out an awesome new feature in its latest nightly builds — one that’s been hidden inside stock Android for some time. It’s called “Heads Up,” and it’s a notification mode that lets you preview and interact with “floating” alerts that are overlaid above what you’re doing.

If you own an Oppo Find 7 or will soon be getting your hands on the OnePlus One, here is some good news for you. The folks over at CyanogenMod have added these devices to their roster for churning out CyanogenMod 11 nightlies on a regular basis. for them

The first batch of OnePlus One started shipping late last week but since it already runs on CyanogenMod 11S, the availability of CM nightlies for it in such a short time should not really come as a surprise.

For its price, Amazon’s Kindle Fire range of tablets provide a great bang for buck. Sadly, they ship with a locked down bootloader and Amazon’s own Fire OS that lacks the usual Google Play suite of apps and services. The locked down bootloader means that it can take developers quite a while to get stable custom ROMs up and running on them.

Case in point being Amazon’s 2012 line-up of Fire HD 7-inch and 8.9-inch tablets that have finally received official CyanogenMod 11 nightlies.

HTC One mini (M4) owners with a penchant for custom ROMs will be pleased to hear their device is now officially supported by CyanogenMod. An experimental “test” version of CyanogenMod 11 as well as the handset’s first “nightly” build are available to download now.
