The HTC One, which has long been dubbed the HTC M7, has appeared in yet another leaked render. The device looks identical to a render that leaked back in January — and indeed to Apple’s iPhone 5 — only this time it looks to be running HTC’s next-generation Sense 5 user interface.
HTC is gearing up to announce the M7, its next-generation Android flagship, on February 19 — and the Taiwanese company has already begun teasing some of its headline features. It has published an info-graphic on “The Brief History of Photography” on its website, and it mentions “a new sound and camera experience” coming this year.
HTC is famous for quickly rolling out one smartphone after the other, and the Taiwanese company often unveils a handful of flagship devices each and every year. But high-end handsets made by HTC could soon become a rarity. The company is reportedly set to switch its focus to cheaper smartphones for emerging markets as it loses more ground to Apple and Samsung.
The HTC M7, the next-generation Android flagship from HTC, is expected to get its grand unveiling next week following plenty of rumors and a number of revealing leaks. A feature we weren’t expecting, however — at least up until now — is new camera technology that ditches megapixels in favor of “ultrapixels” to better smartphone snaps. A new rumor is claiming it’ll be one of the M7’s headline features.
The HTC M7, the next flagship Android handset from the maker of the Droid DNA, is expected to go on sale in the United States on March 8 — just over two weeks after its rumored press event on February 19. It’s currently unclear which carriers will offer it, but the device is expected to come in black and white, according to a source familiar with HTC’s plans.
One of the devices we’ve been most looking forward to getting our hands on at Mobile World Congress next month is the HTC M7, a new flagship Android smartphone that’s set to introduce HTC’s new Sense 5.0 user interface. If the latest rumor is accurate, however, the M7 won’t be at MWC; it’ll get its own launch event the week before instead.
The upcoming HTC M7 has been pictured out in the wild ahead of its official unveiling. Not only are these the clearest shots of the device we’ve seen to date, but they also show off its new Sense 5.0 user interface, and a new button arrangement beneath the display. This isn’t believed to be a final version of the device, but it’s likely to be the closest we’ll get until its official unveiling.
HTC is set to announce a new flagship smartphone at Mobile World Congress next month, and recent rumors have revealed it’s set to be called the HTC M7. We already know a lot about its internal specifications, thank to previous leaks, but we had no idea what the handset would look like — until today.
Now we’re led to believe the device is going to look almost identical to the iPhone 5.
HTC looks to be preparing a new flagship Android smartphone for 2013, and leaked specifications for the device suggest it’s well worth getting excited about. It’s codenamed the HTC M7, and it boasts a plethora of cutting-edge components — some of which haven’t been introduced to a smartphone before, such as its 4.7-inch 1080p display, which boasts a pixel density 40% greater than that of the iPhone 5.
