Today’s free wallpaper, Honeycomb, is a simple line drawing that represents bees’ amazing output, complete with the Android logo we all know and love stamped right in the middle. Pretty sweet, huh?

KitKat adoption more than doubled over the past month as handset makers continue to rollout Android 4.4 updates to their existing devices. By April 1, the platform was installed on 5.3% of Android smartphones and tablets — more than double the 2.5% share it claimed a month ago.
It’s been just over three months since Google made Android 4.4 KitKat available to the public, but only 1.8 percent of Android-powered devices are running it. Jelly Bean continues to have the largest reach with a 60.7 percent share — up from 60.1 percent in January — while Gingerbread’s share is slowly but surely getting smaller.
Today, Google has published the latest distribution figures of the Android operating system which ran over a 7-day period. The numbers reveal a consistent growth in the amount of Android users running Jelly Bean, whilst older versions of the OS continue on their path towards extinction. As anticipated, this months results also show a small amount of users running the latest software version, Android 4.4 KitKat.
