The battle over holiday destinations could be linked to your phone choice.

Would you rather have weekends away in Paris and Dubai or Bangkok and Koala Lumpur? According to U.K.-based hotel search tool Trivago, your answer may have a lot to do with whether you’re an iPhone or Android user.

Looking through its searches, as made from both iOS and Android devices, Trivago concludes that iPhone users opt for popular, pricier destinations averaging £113 ($180) per night, while Android users are more likely to seek out cheaper, offbeat destinations with an average price of just £92 ($146).

Just hours after leaked images of a purported OnePlus One Mini began popping up all over the web, OnePlus has posted an image on its Google+ page teasing an announcement for tomorrow, December 17. But before you get too excited, we’re almost certain this won’t be a new smartphone for several reasons.

Google’s latest holiday promo appears to involve the Play store and a few incognito elves. These elves will be unwrapping a special play offer each day through 1/1/2013. These offers could be anything from special app promotions to saving money within an app. For instance, today’s offer gives anyone who downloads the app Hotel Tonight $35 to use towards their first hotel booking.
