If you’re already excited about the second-generation Google Glass, it may be time to tone it down a little. A new report claims the upcoming “Enterprise Edition” won’t be available to general consumers, but exclusively to those certified as Glass for Work partners.

Google’s new and improved Google Glass “Enterprise Edition” will bring a new display, a better battery, and a brand new processor, according to a new report, which sites “several sources familiar with advanced prototypes of the product.”

Google I/O is one of the biggest events on the calendar for Android fans, and this year’s event is going to be just as exciting as the last. In addition to the next-generation Android upgrade, we’ll see updates to other Google platforms, and maybe even new devices.

After Google stopped selling Glass back in January, the wearable’s future looked a little uncertain. Rumors initially suggested the project had been closed down for good, but according to Google chairman Eric Schmidt, it’s very much alive and being prepared for consumers.
