If you’re thinking about picking up a Nokia X, but you’re put off by its heavily modified Android operating system, then you’ll be pleased to know that the first custom ROM with pure Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is now available.

It’s free from all of Nokia’s own tweaks, delivering a stock experience exactly as Google intended it — and so far everything appears to be working seamlessly.

Starting today, AT&T is rolling out an over-the-air update to all of its Galaxy Note II devices. The upgrade weights in at 165MB, and although it doesn’t bring any major software improvements, it’s still quite a significant update that we would advise any Note II owner to download.

Galaxy Tab 2 ATT

At last AT&T’s LTE version of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (SGH-I497) is the next device on Samsung’s list to receive the Android 4.1.2 update.

Since the tablet launched on AT&T’s network back in November, 2012, supporting 4.0 Jelly Bean which was only about a year out of date, it seems almost fitting that the 4.1 update is coming almost a year after Jelly Bean was introduced on the Nexus 7.

Motorola Droid RAZR HD and MAXX HD owners have started receiving essential updates for their devices. This latest update will bump the devices up to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, with security patches from Google to act against new threats, and a fix for data roaming issues that some Droid owners have been having.

I need to get me one of these.

International Samsung Galaxy Note II handsets in Europe with the GT-N7105 model number have begun receiving the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean upgrade. The software introduces a number of new features to the Korean company’s popular “phablet,” including the ability to customize the notification pull-down, a multi-window toggle, and changes to the lock screen.
