Judge Lucy Koh suggests the settlement should be considerably higher than the one offered by Apple and Google. They disagree.

Four tech giants, including Apple and Google, have attacked the decision of U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh for rejecting a proposed $324.5 million settlement over Silicon Valley hiring practices.

In a court filing made later on Thursday, Apple, Google, Intel and Adobe asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to overrule Koh’s verdict.

Koh had rejected the proposed settlement, claiming the amount was too low.

HTC-One-black

HTC has begun rolling out its Android 4.4 KitKat update to One handsets across Europe. The 308MB release adds a number of new features, including support for the Cloud Print service and Bluetooth profiles, and improves security. It also kills HTC’s own web browser and support for Adobe Flash in favor of Chrome.

Dolphin-Android

Dolphin, a popular third-party browser for Android, just got another big update that makes several improvements and introduces new features. In addition to a new look, the app now boasts a customizable home screen with over 60 speed dial slots, a new Web App Store, Flash support, and more.
