After Samsung overhauled its design philosophy for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, Galaxy Note fans have been itching to find out what the Galaxy Note 5 will bring. Thanks to the leaked video below, you can get an early glimpse at the handset’s new design.

The two-minute clip, which comes from trusted leaker @OnLeaks, shows what is believed to the Galaxy Note 5 in CAD drawings from Samsung’s design team. Many aspects of its form factor already seem familiar, with obvious cues taken from the Galaxy S6 lineup.

The device is very similar to its predecessor in terms of size, however, measuring 153.44mm tall and 77.31mm wide, which suggests it will offer the same 5.7-inch display.

What’s most interesting about the design of this device is its back panel, which appears to be made of curved glass — like the front of the S6 edge. If this is the case, it all but confirms the Note 5 won’t have a removable back.

That means no removable battery, and probably no microSD card slot, either. Samsung could integrate the microSD card slot into the edge of the device — like the SIM card tray — but these CAD drawings only show one tray door.

It also shows a micro-USB port, rather than USB-C, which was set to be adopted by the Note 5, according to recent rumors.

Having said that, we cannot confirm these are genuine, so they should be taken with a pinch of salt for now. Even if they did come from Samsung, there’s still a chance this is an early design drawing that has since changed.
