Listen up, HTC One A9 owners! If you have an unlocked device, you’re about to get an over-the-air software update that brings Android’s latest security patch and some welcome bug fixes.

HTC One (A9) unlocked owners! The Jan security updates and bug fixes is being updated via OTA this morning,” tweeted HTC Product Manager Mo Versi this morning. The update weighs in at just over 100MB, and it comes with build number 1.56.617.1.

The bug fixes are unspecific, but should make your One A9 more stable, and possible a little snappier. The security patch is Google’s latest Android patch, which makes your One A9 less susceptible to Android malware and other malicious code that take advantage of flaws in Google’s code.

It’s unclear which markets are getting this update first — though customers in the U.S. appear to be receiving it already — but note this is only for the unlocked model for now; those tied to a carrier will have to wait for approval, which can take some time.
