Sony’s new Xperia Z5 has one of the finest cameras you’ll find in a smartphone — and it’s about to get even better. The Japanese company is rolling out a new software update that revamps its Camera interface to make it even easier to take amazing images.

“Ever since Xperia Z5 was recognised by DxO as the leading smartphone for overall camera and video capture capability, we’ve been listening to your feedback and working hard to continue making improvements that matter,” Sony says on its blog.

It also makes it easier to access settings using simply on-screen sliders.

Sony doesn’t mention any improvements to camera performance, but the Xperia Z5 didn’t really need that anyway.

This update is rolling out now to the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium, and the Xperia Z5 Compact, but it will take some time to reach all devices. If you haven’t already received a software update notification, you can search for the update manually, but it may be be available to you just yet.
