Samsung’s new Galaxy View tablet, which boasts a super-sized 18.4-inch display, will be available through AT&T on Friday, November 20. Those who sign up to DIRECTV when buying the device can bag it for just $99.99 for a limited time.

The Galaxy View wants to be the tablet that replaces your TV. It’s focused on media consumption, and alongside its 18.4-inch 1080p screen, the device boasts an octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.

Normally priced at $499.99 with a new two-year AT&T agreement, or $30 a month over 30 months, the Galaxy View can be had for just $99.99 with a two-year agreement when you sign up for a new DIRECTV service at the same time.

Existing DIRECTV customers can also get the Galaxy View for $99.99 when they activate a new line with a smartphone on AT&T Next.

The Galaxy View is hardly a high-end tablet with those specifications, but if you want a giant slate that negates the need for a TV set, then it could be ideal. It certainly has some nice features, including a microSD card slot for storage expansion, and a giant battery that promises up to 8 hours of video streaming in between charges.
