Samsung’s new Galaxy View tablet, which ships with a giant 18.4-inch display, will be available in the U.S. on November 6.

But be warned: its midrange specifications do not come at a midrange price.

Galaxy View wants to be the tablet that replaces your TV; its 18.4-inch display makes it the ideal device for content consumption, Samsung says — but it’s not quite as spectacular as more recent Samsung releases.

Although that display may be big, its 1080p display means it’s nowhere near as sharp as a Quad HD offering — especially at this size. Galaxy View also has an octa-core processor, but it’s not the flagship Exynos 7420 you get in this year’s Galaxy smartphones, and it’s coupled with just 2GB of RAM.

Other specifications include 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop that comes with a TouchWiz UI designed specifically for Galaxy View’s big screen.

For the Wi-Fi only model, which will make its debut on November 6 in the U.S., prices start at $599, which makes Galaxy View one of the most expensive Android-powered tablets available. The LTE model, which will come later, will cost even more — but Samsung hasn’t said exactly how much yet.
