Spotify has finally rolled out support for the original Google Chromecast, allowing users to stream their favorite tunes to the TV when it’s time to party. You don’t need to be a Spotify Premium subscriber, either.

Google announced Spotify support when it unveiled its newest Chromecasts in late September, but users could only get it on the new Chromecast, and Chromecast Audio with a Premium subscription. Now you’ll find it on the original dongle, too.

Google has rolled out a firmware update that activates Spotify compatibility, according to lots of Chromecast owners on Reddit. If your device doesn’t work with Spotify already, simply reboot it and you should be good to go.

This move makes the list of reasons to upgrade to the new Chromecast even smaller. That’ll change over time, of course, but for now, the original is still pulling its weight.
