The new Moto X Pure Edition, or Moto X Style for international customers, is set to go on sale on Thursday, September 3. The device will be priced at $399 off-contract, and buyers get a whole lot for their money.

The Moto X Pure Edition is a big improvement over last year’s Moto X, with a sharper Quad HD display, a faster Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 21-megapixel camera that is already considered one of the best smartphone cameras on the market.

Other features including Motorola’s latest Turbo Charging technology, a microSD card slot, and of course, the ability to customize the handset’s look through Moto Maker, with more personalization options than ever before.

The Moto X Pure Edition will arrive unlocked with the latest Android 5.1.1 software pre-installed, and is compatible with the top four carriers in the U.S.

Motorola announced the handset’s release date on Twitter, but for unknown reasons, the carrier has since removed its post. It has already confirmed the Moto X Pure Edition will be available in September, but it seems the actual release date was made public a little too early.
