If you’ve been lucky enough to get an invite for the OnePlus 2 and you live in North America, then listen up. OnePlus has confirmed that shipments to the U.S. and Canada will be delayed by 2-3 weeks due to “production schedules.”

“The production of the OnePlus 2 is in full swing and we’re excited to get the OnePlus 2 in your hands,” OnePlus forum administrator Raggy confirmed today.

“However we do want to tell our users in North America that due to production schedules, shipping to the States and Canada will commence 2-3 weeks after shipments to Europe.”

Those who have already received an invite to buy the OnePlus 2, or will receive one before the end of today, will still be able to order their handset tomorrow, August 11, as planned. It’s important that you still do that, because your invite is only valid for 24 hours.

Just be aware that delivery will take up to three weeks longer than originally planned.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused,” Raggy adds. “Although some fans may be disappointed to hear this news, we would rather be transparent about the situation. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!”

And for those who are still in two minds about whether or not the OnePlus 2 should be their next smartphone, be on the lookout for our review in the coming days.
