If you’ve got a Nexus 4 or 2012’s Nexus 7, there’s no need to worry about upgrading your hardware to get Android 5.0 Lollipop. Google has confirmed that both of these devices will be receiving its latest software update, along with the Nexus 5, last year’s Nexus 7, and the Nexus 10.

“Google has confirmed to us that those older devices will indeed be getting Android 5.0,” Ars Technica reports. However, if you have older Nexus devices — such as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus — you’re out of luck, unfortunately, though there is a possibility the development community will help you out.

It’s still unclear when older Nexus devices will get their Lollipop upgrade, but Google has said we can expect to see them “in the coming weeks,” so we shouldn’t have to wait too long. Of course, you can expect the Nexus 5 and the latest Nexus 7 to be updated first, while the new Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will ship with Lollipop pre-installed.
