After sources familiar with Google’s plans promised that its new Nexus 6 smartphone would go on sale this month, a new report claims that its bigger brother, the Nexus 9, will be available to pre-order the day Google announces it.

That’s October 15 — a day earlier than other sources have reported — according to Bright Side of News.

“Our sources are confirming that the HTC Nexus 9, which we had originally reported thanks to Nvidia’s own legal documents, will indeed be landing this month,” the report reads. Pricing is expected to start at $399, and the device will reportedly launch on November 3, when you’ll be able to get it from Google Play and “most major retailers.”

BSN’s sources also claim that the Nexus 9 will indeed ship with NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 processor as expected, in addition to an 8.9-inch Quad HD display, 2GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of internal storage.

Recent reports from reliable sources — including MoDaCo’s Paul O’Brien — have claimed that Google will unveil its new Nexus devices on October 16. It’s possible the search giant has brought it forward a day following the news that Apple will hold its own special event that day, which is expected to bring new iPads and updated Macs.
