Motorola’s new Moto X has been picking up rave reviews since making its debut last month, with many calling it the best Android-powered smartphone you can buy right now. But just how long will Motorola allow it to hold onto that title?

The company has been tasked with building Google’s upcoming Nexus 6, and if its leaked specifications are anything to go by, it’s going to be bigger and better than anything Motorola has given us so far.

In addition to a massive 5.9-inch Quad HD with 469 pixels-per-inch, sources claim that the Nexus 6 — codenamed “Shamu” — will have a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. We can also look forward to dual front-facing speakers like the HTC One M8, and a large 3,200mAh battery.

Based on these specifications, and the rumors we’ve seen surrounding its design, Android Police put together the mockup above that gives us an idea of what the Nexus 6 might look like. It actually looks a lot like the new Moto X, but its giant display will obviously make it a much larger handset.

Google’s Nexus devices have longed delivered good specifications with affordable price tags, but none have been as cutting-edge as the Nexus 6 is expected to be. With internals like these, this device will have no trouble competing with devices like the Galaxy S5, the aforementioned One M8, the LG G3, and even the Galaxy Note 4.

The Nexus 6 is expected to launch alongside Android L in mid-October — soon after the Nexus 9.
