AT&T has today announced that it will begin selling the new, super-sized LG G Vista on Friday, August 22. The device will be available on a two-year contract with a $49.99 upfront fee, or you can choose to purchase it without the commitment for $354.99.

While the G Vista may be the biggest of LG’s 2014 smartphone lineup, it’s certainly not the best when it comes to specifications. That doesn’t necessarily meanĀ it’s bad, though. In fact, if you’re looking for a large device that won’t cost you a fortune like the Galaxy Note, this could well be an ideal alternative.

The G Vista has a 5.7-inch display with a 720p resolution, and it’s powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor. It also packs 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with the G3’s impressive laser auto focus.

The G Vista has a microSD card slot for storage expansion, and it’ll accept cards up to 128GB in capacity. It also has a large 3,200 mAh battery, and it ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which is skinned with LG’s latest software.

AT&T will be selling the G Vista online and in stores, and it will be available on a Next plan if you’d prefer not to pay anything upfront. For a limited time, those who purchase a G Vista will be eligible to buy an LG G Pad 7.0 on AT&T for just $0.99.
