A Galaxy S5-lookalike with a metal body from Samsung has leaked quite a few times over the last few months. However, nothing concrete about the handset was known until today.

Today, the folks over at SamMobile have managed to get some live pictures of the handset along with some details about it specs.

The Galaxy Alpha does not seem to be a premium variant of the S5 and is instead a watered down variant of it with a premium construction. While the back of the handset will make use of the faux-leather material as seen on the Note 3, the edges have a new aluminium ring surrounding them.

Specs wise, the Galaxy Alpha seems to be slightly faster than the Galaxy S5 mini but will still stay a notch below the Galaxy S5. The handset will, apparently, come with a 4.7-inch 720p display, LTE network support, 32GB of internal storage, fingerprint scanner and Samsung’s own Exynos chipset.

Other specs of the handset remain scarce at the moment. The Galaxy Alpha is rumored to launch next month in limited markets of the world. Make sure to head over to the source link below for more pictures of the handset.

The Galaxy Alpha looks more like an iPhone 6 competitor with its smaller screen size and premium construction rather than another high-end device from the Korean company.
