Tuesday’s Tweak: Personalizing the Quick Toggle service on the HTC One M8 is super easy

HTC-One-M8-back

Do you own an HTC One M8? If so, I’m pretty sure you’re aware of the integrated Quick Toggles menu which appears when you slide through your notification bar with two fingers. This feature presents you with shortcuts to the system settings, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. However, you may not know that you can manually select which toggles show in the menu and how they are arranged.

Changing the toggles that are displayed is actually a very simple procedure. It’s just a matter of navigating through the built-in Settings screen, but you do have to know exactly what it is you’re looking for. First things first, in order to set up the service, you will need to be running KitKat (4.4) and above. Then here’s what to do:

  1. Open the Quick Toggles menu by sliding down on the notification bar with two fingers.
  2. Tap the Pen & Paper icon at the top of your handsets display.
  3. Rearrange and add the services that you would like to see displayed in the menu.

Voilà! You have successfully personalized the Quick Toggle services on your HTC One (M8). If you run into any issues along the way, do be sure to let us know in the comments section below, and we’ll do our very best to get you back on track.
