With the release of the HTC One (M7) and other One branded handsets, HTC focused on quickly getting out software updates to them. The company was among the first in the United States to update their flagship handset to KitKat on all the major carriers.

Continuing that trend, HTC’s executive director of product management today announced that the Android 4.4.2 update for the One Max on Verizon has received technical approval and will start rolling out from Monday.

Along with the latest version of KitKat, One Max owners would also get to enjoy Sense 5.5 which packs in quite a few goodies including the ability to turn off BlinkFeed, redesigned Music, Camera and Gallery apps and more. All the usual KitKat features introduced by Google are also intact including a transparent status bar, improved performance and stability, Tap & Pay via NFC and more.

The OTA is expected to start rolling out from Monday but since they are always rolled out in stages, don’t expect it to land immediately on your One Max.
