Lenovo Announces Four New Budget Tablets

Lenovo TAB A10

Lenovo has just announced four new budget ranged Android tablets with pricing starting from £99.99 or $166. The lineup consists of two 7 inch tablets, an 8 inch model and a 10.1 inch display variant, so there’s quite a lot of variety on offer.

Lenovo seems to be targeting different sets of consumers with each tablet, which explains the diversity in the lineup, much like Samsung’s newly announced Galaxy Tab 4 devices.

The Lenovo TAB A7-30 is the cheapest of the four as it packs a 7 inch display, a quad core processor and front facing dual Dolby speakers. The tablet also comes with SIM card support for cellular connectivity on the go, which is a nice feature to have on a budget tablet. There’s no word on the pricing of this tablet yet.

TAB A7

The second of the 7 inch tablets is the Lenovo TAB A7-50 which sports a better display resolution, front and rear cameras and 3G connectivity. Lenovo mentions that there will be a A7-40 model as well which comes with only a front facing camera and 8GB of internal storage. The A7-50 will cost £99.99 ($166) when it breaks cover in the markets in the coming months.

The TAB A8 as the name suggests packs an 8 inch HD display, a quad core processor, Dolby speakers and other features from the 7 inch models. This will be available in a wide range of colors providing plenty of choice for the customers. Pricing for the A8 has been set at £139.99 ($233).

TAB A8

The 10.1 inch tablet known as the TAB A10 borrows most of its hardware from the smaller 8 inch sibling including the display resolution, so it’s merely a bigger substitute to the TAB A8. The TAB A10 will be available starting from £169.99 ($283).

All four tablets will be available in Q2 2014 according to Lenovo, so we can expect the devices to launch across the globe in the coming months.
