LG G2 Camera Mod Brings Improved Image Quality, Magic Focus Mode And More

LG G2 Snap The LG G2 has a pretty decent camera to begin with. However, that does not mean it cannot be improved further via software tweaks, which is exactly what a developer over at XDA forums has done. He has taken the stock camera app on the G2 and its libraries and tweaked it to further improve the imaging capabilities of the handset.  The tweaked camera app brings quite a few goodies and improvements, which are as follows:

  • Improved night mode with slower shutter speed
  • Improved Intelligent Auto mode
  • Ultra HD video recording
  • 720p 120FPS video recording mode
  • Magic Focus mode as seen on LG G Pro 2
  • Reduced noise reduction
  • 1600 ISO mode
  • Increased Panorama resolution
  • Reduced JPEG compression on images

G2 owners who have already tried the mod report a positive change in image quality. Since the modified Camera app does not replace the stock camera app, users don’t need to worry about any instability issues as well. However, installing the mod requires root access and the latest version only works on KitKat based ROMs. Head over to the source below for the download link and the installation instructions.
