Readability Now Available For Android Through The Amazon App Store

Many of you have been patiently waiting for the Readability app to come to Android and today it has — sort of. Amazon apparently inked a deal with Readability to launch the app exclusively on the Amazon App Store for the first week, so if you want to get it today, your only option is Amazon (for now). I know what you non-US residents are thinking and no, it does not exclude you. In fact, you guys actually get to download it from the Google Play Store (how do you like them apples).

Readability is similar to apps such as Read It Later or Google Currents and turns web pages into read-friendly single-column articles which can be easily viewed or saved for later reading. Users can customize the reading view with various style settings and even share their favorite articles on Facebook, Twitter, or by e-mail. It’s shaping up to be the go-to reader for Android and has gained much praise on both iOS and Android thus far. If you want to give Readability a go, you can get it now via the Amazon App Store. If you prefer to wait until it’s available on the Google Play store you’ll have to sit tight another week (unless of course you live outside the US).
