HTC’s much-anticipated flagship smartphone of 2014, the ‘All New’ HTC One (M8) is scheduled to be unveiled later on today at a press conference in London, and thanks to Canadian carrier, Rogers, we now know a little bit more about the device prelaunch, than we bargained for. Earlier today, the operator prematurely published a ‘Buy Now’ page on its website, detailing the full specifications and pricing for this eagerly awaited handset. Unfortunately, it has since been pulled. But, thankfully, not before we listed everything on the page…

The M8 is an extremely impressive device with regards to its internal components, packing a 5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a Snapdragon 801 chipset powered by four 2.3GHz cores, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of flash memory (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), dual Ultrapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. In terms of dimensions, the phone is 46.3 x 70.6 x 9.35mm and weighs in at just 160g, which is pretty astonishing when you considering that its manufactured out of an aluminium alloy.

Rogers will be offering the smartphone for $229.99 with a two-year contract or $649.99 on a prepaid month-to-month tariff. Using this information, we can predict that the unlocked variant of the handset will cost somewhere in the region of $700 when its officially goes on sale in the United States later today.

Be sure to stay tuned for all the latest HTC One coverage as Cult of Android will be bringing you the latest news from the London event as and when it breaks.
