As of today, Chromecast is no longer a treat available only to those in the United States. The media streaming dongle is now on sale in the United Kingdom, Canada, and nine countries across Europe, priced at £30/CA$39/€35.

At $35 in the U.S., those prices indicate that Google has avoided charging international customers a premium for Chromecast. And that’s likely to be a good move; its affordability is one of the things that has made the device so popular across the pond, where it continues to sell in the “millions,” according to Google.

These are the countries where Chromecast will go on sale today:

  • U.K.
  • Canada
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Spain
  • Sweden

In addition to compatibility with international services like YouTube, Google Play Movies, and Netflix, Chromecast will be getting support from local content providers starting today. Those include BBC iPlayer in the U.K.; France TV Pluzz and SFR TV in France (CANALPLAY is coming soon); and Watchever in Germany.

You’ll be able to purchase Chromecast from major consumer electronics retailers like Amazon, Currys, PC World, Elkjøp, Saturn, Media Markt, and of course, Google Play.
