Samsung unveiled its ultra-portable Galaxy Tab 3 variant, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, back in April, 2013, and two months later the device was available in the U.S. from several retailers for $199. However, if you haven’t had the opportunity to pick one up before now, you may be pleased to hear that Walmart, the popular independent online retailer, is currently offering a factory refurbished model of the device for $119.

The Tab 3 7.0 is a respectable mid-to-high end tablet, packing a 7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), a 3.15-megapixel 720p HD rear-facing camera, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing shooter and a 4,000 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.

In addition, the slate ships running the latest build of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean skinned with Samsung’s custom TouchWiz user interface, which Samsung claims is the “easier way to use your device, giving you intuitive control over everyday tasks.” However, it’s expected to receive the much-anticipated Android 4.3 update in the not-too-distant future.
