Oppo Believed To Be Readying A 5-Inch ‘Mini’ Variant Of The N1

Oppo N1

Chinese manufacturer Oppo is reportedly looking to launch a ‘mini’ variant of the popular N1 handset, which was well renowned for its rotating camera. This new smartphone will reportedly feature a 5 inch 1080p display in place of the 5.9 inch display, so it’s quite a lot smaller in size, but still nowhere near to being considered a mini device.

The report further pegs the smartphone to feature an octa core chipset, possibly from MediaTek. It is further said that the N1 mini will be sold in LTE and non-LTE models separately. This hints that the smartphone could get a wider release, much like the Oppo N1 which was widely popular across the globe.

The N1 mini is also believed to feature support for CyanogenMod ROMs right out of the box, much like is bigger sibling, which is another neat feature to have.

The smartphone will reportedly break cover in June in select markets, so there’s still some months of waiting left. Other details are very scarce at the moment, but we expect to know more as the weeks progress.
