Google Expands Play Movies To Over 40 New Countries, Play Music To 4 More

Google today pushed out an update for its Play Movies & TV app for Android that drastically expands its availability to over 40 new countries. Apart from this, the update will also allow users to download their HD movies in SD or HD format.

You can find the full list of countries where the Play Movies service is available now over at Google’s support pages. The company also expanded its Google Play Music All Access service to four new countries including Greece, Sweden, Slovakia and Norway.

With such a staggering expansion of its digital marketplace for media, it looks like the rumours of Google expanding the availability of its $35 HDMI media streamer — Chromecast — to more countries worldwide is indeed true.
