Sprint EVO 4G LTE Android 4.3 Update RUU Now Available For Download

EVO 4G LTE

As promised by HTC earlier this week, the full RUU for the Android 4.3 update for the Sprint EVO 4G LTE is now available for manual download and installation. Due to space restrictions, the company won’t be able to release the update via OTA so users will have to manually update their handset to the latest version of Jelly Bean.

The gigantic 826MB RUU file can be downloaded from here. Installation is pretty simple — Just connect the EVO to your PC and double click the RUU file. It will automatically install all the drivers and then proceed to install Android 4.3 with Sense 5 on the handset. Mac and Linux based PC users are out of luck as the RUU only works on Windows.

Also, make sure to create a backup of all your data including the files on the internal storage since the RUU will completely wipe the handset clean.

Post the update, EVO 4G LTE owners would be able to enjoy Blinkfeed, Daydream,a re-designed and lighter Sense UI with a re-designed lock screen, new Camera, Gallery and Music Player apps and improved performance and battery life among other things.
