AT&T Begins Taking LG G Flex Pre-Orders, Shipping Starts February 4

AT&T has begun taking pre-orders for the LG G Flex, with prices starting at $299.99 when you take out a new two-year plan. Those who prefer no annual contract will pay an eye-watering $694.99, and shipping begins on Tuesday, February 4.

You’ll certainly be paying a premium for that curved POLED (plastic OLED) display and self-healing back cover, then, but we expected that given the G Flex’s price tag in other countries.

You do get a high-end handset, though, complete with 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization. It’s essentially exactly the same device that’s available internationally, with a few AT&T apps pre-installed, of course.

The G Flex ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but LG will be updating it to Android 4.4 KitKat at some point.
